Professor Robert George: Prospects for Life, Marriage, and Liberty Sunday, November 25th 2012

Headshot of Robert GeorgeProfessor Robert George’s famous Manhattan Declaration promises resistance to the point of civil disobedience against any legislation that might implicate their churches or charities in abortion, embryo-destructive research or same-sex marriage. It may come to that, or we may be able to avoid it. Join Credo and the Catholic Union of Missouri for our annual Christ the King Dinner to hear Professor George’s analysis of the prospects for life, marriage, and liberty in the light of the recent elections, and where we may be headed.

Join us at 6 PM Sunday November 25th for an evening of stimulating analysis and discussion at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Clayton, Missouri. Non-Members $32; Members $27; Group of 8+ $27. Free inside parking at the 7777 Bonhomme Parking Garage. The bridge from the garage to the hotel is on the Orange Level. The garage gate will be open when you leave. Register Here before Wednesday, November 22nd. First time? Other Questions?  E-mail us here and be sure to leave your phone number.

Professor George teaches at Princeton University, has served on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and the President’s Council on Bioethics, and was a Judicial Fellow at the Supreme Court of the United States, where he received the Justice Tom C. Clark Award. A graduate of Swarthmore, he holds J.D. and M.T.S. degrees from Harvard, and a D.Phil. from Oxford, in addition to many honorary degrees. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and a recipient of the U.S. Presidential Citizens Medal and the Honorific Medal of the Republic of Poland for the Defense of Human Rights. Credo and the Catholic Union of Missouri are honored to have Professor George as our speaker for the 2012 Christ the King Forum.

Help Credo Promote this Event!

We greatly appreciate our members' and friends' help promoting our Forums. Many parishes will permit you to distribute flyers. If you ask, you may be able to obtain mention of the Forum in the bulletin or from the pulpit. If you need a flyer, you can download it here and make copies as needed. It is not necessary to make color copies. The announcement will be available on the Archdioscean Bulletin Gateway too – your bulletin editor may find it convenient to copy and paste from here. Religion teachers, RCIA participants, clergy, youth group members, and many others may be interested in Credo's terrific annual speaker's series. Please help us invite people from your parish. If we can answer any questions at all, please contact us here.
