Credo's New Website

A stylized web browser address bar“New horizons are now open that were until recently unimaginable; they stir our wonder at the possibilities offered by these new media” – Pope Benedict XVI

As you can see, Credo has a new website. In the past our website has been used almost exclusively as a place to announce our Forums and we had barely begun to exploit the possibilities of the medium.

March 13th - St. Francis de Sales - Credo Day of Recollection

St. Francis de Sales Oratory in conjunction with Credo of the Catholic Laity will be holding a Day of Recollection starting Saturday March 13th. The Oratory is located on Ohio Avenue at Gravois.

A highlight of this Day of Recollection will be the second presentation when His Excellency The Most Rev. Robert J. Hermann will make the presentation.

Other conference presenters include:
The Rev. Eric J. Kunz who is Associate Pastor of Queen of All Saints Parish.

The Rev. Brian Harrison O.S. M.A. S.T.D., who is a member of the Society of The Oblates of Wisdom.
We believe you will be inspired by our 2010 Day of Recollection Speakers.

Take advantage of the opportunity to make this Lenten Day of Recollection one of your most efficacious.

The full schedule for the Day of Recollection is shown below.

Our charge for this Day of Recollection is $20.00 per person to cover expenses, this includes lunch on Saturday. If you have a problem covering this charge, especially those who might have lost their job or have large families do not hesitate to ask for help by calling 314-894-6003. Children under 12 are free but we need to know they are coming so we can prepare enough food.

St. Francis de Sales is a magnificent church known as the Cathedral of the South, but it continues to need significant repairs. Since Archbishop Burke assigned the church to the Institute of Christ the King for its use as an oratory many repairs have been made. But it is an unending task keeping up with the many costs associated with maintaining a church of this size. Any profits from this Day of Recollection will go toward these expenses. If you are financially able we hope you will consider a donation for this worthy cause. Just add this donation to your check.

Mail your check payable to Friends of St Francis Oratory Inc. and send it directly to St. Francis de Sales (See coupon below)

At the Ten O’clock Solemn High Mass on Sunday March 14th His Grace the Very Rev. Archbishop Robert J. Carlson will be at the Oratory to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the return of the Latin Mass to St. Louis. We hope many of you will be able to attend this Mass.
