A special exhibit of over 150 relics of saints, including one of the world's largest certified relics of the True Cross and a (Vatican certified) piece of the Veil of Our Lady is coming to St. Francis de Sales Oratory in St. Louis on the feast of St. Mary Magdalene, Friday, July 22, 2011 .
Father Carlos A. Martins, a priest of the Companions of the Cross, will present his Treasures of the Church exhibit, which begins with a talk about the Church's use of relics. Then you will have an opportunity to venerate the relics. There will be two presentations: Friday evening at 5 PM and Saturday morning at 9 AM.There will also be relics of St. Francis de Sales and St. Thomas Aquinas, ans St. Therese of Lisieux. The complete list is here. You will be permitted to examine in detail each of the relics, and even touch objects like rosaries, holy cards, photos of ill family members or friends to the reliquaries as a means of intercession. Many miracles throughout history have been effected in the presence of relics and there have been many healings through this particular ministry. Don't miss this opportunity.
Thanks for this heads up. I wouldn't have gone otherwise. What blessings!!!!
