Latin Liturgy Association Meeting

The local chapter of the Latin Liturgy Association is meeting on October 29th at The Church of the Little Flower in St. Louis County. There will be a talk on the history of the parish and the church building itself, and (of course) some Latin prayers, so brush up your Paters and Aves. If you've never experienced prayer in the native language of the Latin Rite, go and just listen. WHERE:

“Church of the Little Flower: Its History and Its Saints”

Little Flower parish was founded in 1925, the same year as the canonization of St. Therese of Lisieux.  The church building was dedicated in 1949.  The church is totally in the round—making it somewhat unusual.  Vince Stuart will explain “why”, as well as taking us on a walking tour around the circumference, introducing us to all the saints represented in the statuary and side chapels.

Following the presentation, we will go to the Blessed Sacrament chapel, and pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet, in Latin.  Then, members will adjourn to the “cry room” for chapter officer elections, and a short business meeting.  The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available in the church, beginning at 4:00 p.m.

DIRECTIONS:  From I-64, exit Big Bend Boulevard.  Go south one block to Dale Ave.  Turn right on Dale.  Go four blocks to Boland Place (a stop sign).  Turn right on Boland, and cross over the highway.  The Church will be on your left.  On-street parking is available.  You may also park in the lot, which is accessible from Boland, just north of the school.  Enter the church through the door that is closest to the parking lot (north side of the church).  The church is fully Handicapped Accessible through this door.
