Dom Mark Daniel Kirby, Prior of the Benedictine Monastery of Our Lady of the Cenacle in Tulsa Oklahoma wrote the following:
"A Momentous Event
"This morning, on the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the humble Oratory of our monastery was the setting of a momentous event. His Excellency, Bishop Edward J. Slattery was with us for the the canonical establishment of the Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel's Hope as a Public Association of the Faithful, in view of their becoming an Institute of Consecrated Life.
"Rosalind Moss Becomes Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God
"Foundress, Rosalind Moss, in religion Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God received the traditional Benedictine habit, given that the Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel's Hope have begun to follow the age-old Rule of Saint Benedict. ..."

ReplyDeleteOh, Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God, I am so overjoyed to learn that you are now Mother Miriam. I moved from Middletown, NY to Cottonwood, AZ and I have not received your newsletter since I left because I did not have an address. Please put me back on your mailing list. I am: Rosemarie Fizznoglia, 3534 E. Maricopa Drive, Cottonwood, AZ 86326. On your talk with Marcus Grodi when you announced your calling, you said you would take women up to 100. Is that still true? I once wrote to you in the beginning and you sent me some papers. I still think about it. I am a widow of (just had a birthday 9/20) 74 years of age. I am in pretty good health and people say I do not look my age. But, anyway, I wonder about a religious life and think about it often. I've been a Third Order of St. Francis tertiary since I was 27 years old. I am so happy I found this info on the computer. Again, I am so joyful to hear that you are Mother. God bless you with love from Jesus and Mary. Pax et Bonum, Rosemarie Fizznoglia (Ro)

ReplyDeleteWant to let you know that I am thanking Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother for the progress your order has made! I had dropped you a line last summer about wanting to bring consecrated sisters back into nursing in our hospitals. But, am praying for your order, and thanks!

ReplyDeletePlease someone let us know how to get in touch with Sister Miriam. Being from Brooklyn myself she is a testament to the power of God.
ReplyDeleteGood on you! and God's continued blessings on you and your work; how good is our God. I also have followed your discernment for years and am so excited for you and your ministry.
ReplyDeleteI heard your delivery at the "Family" conference and add a small comment to the jstory that you related about the friend who was reading the romance novel. Yes, how could her husband live up to the character in the book (?); but even more insidious is the depiction of the heroine of being ever-so-desirable and eminently worthy of pursuit by that radiant charmer! It is so insidiously damaging to the feminine genius to have that image raging around in your head. Loved your hutzbah (sp?). You remain in my prayers, as always.
That information is given at the web link a few replies up...
ReplyDeleteChoicest Blessings on you, Mother Miriam and your sisters in your new home, Tulsa, OK. I am a big fan of EWTN and so I watched with utmost delight your talk on this year's EWTN FAMILY CONFERENCE. You are awesome! Just as you plan to 'get Marcus Crodi's talk on CD and listen to, commit his message to heart; I am going to do the same with your talk. Finally I can't wait to pay a visit to your home in Tulsa. Meanwhile please know you are in my prayers and especially at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Shalom!

What an inspiration you are, Mother Miriam! For years I have hoped to one day
ReplyDeleteenter a religious order and felt too old!! I have had a career, had a family and now have grandchildren. (also a little great granddaughter born last Feb on my bday) I feel richly blessed by God hope to spend the rest of my life giving back to
Him in any and every way I can. You will be in my prayers each day and one day I would love to drive to Tulsa and see your work there and possibly volunteer to help in some way. God Bless you and Thank you
Hi Sister I have followed your story with great interest for years now and am a great admirer of yours. But now I would like to ask you a question if you will permit me. A friend of mine commented that Benedict16 said that he thought that we catholics should not focus on converting the Jews. Could you comment on that please.
ReplyDeleteYours in Christ
Robert
Robert, if sister Miriam gave you an answer I too would like to hear her reply. Please forward to me. I have followed her when she was still Rosalind Moss and working with Catholic Apologetics on the radio and met herr in Syracuse NewYork when she was there for a conference. Her story is truly a spiritual break through in her search for truth, and love which ultimately is God!
ReplyDeleteDear Mother Miriam,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your u-tube talk very much. I wept with joy your description of Our Lady.
Did you get to see the movie, "Mary of Nazareth?" It is the most beautiful and true to all the things I have read about Our Lady, both from Scripture and private revelation.
I read the Mystical City of God by Venerable Mary of Agreda. I saw things in the movie that I read about it the book.
I also read the Life of Mary of Agreda. That is a phenomenal book. If you would like, I could send it to you.
We printed it for the Knights of Columbus of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Would you like to do a call in program with us? We have a radio program in the New Orleans area that is also heard on the world wide web.
Our name is Mary's Helpers. Our Lady is our director.
God bless you.

We would like to have Mother Miriam come speak at one of our Legatus events in 2015. Would she be able to be a guest speaker for Legatus in Des Moines Iowa some time in 2015?
ReplyDeleteMother Miriam does not read Credo's website, at least not regularly. Best to contact her through the mechanisms given on her own website.
