Creation in Love
All creation – and especially of the human person – is an outpouring of divine love from within the depths of the Trinity. Since love is the foundation of his being, man’s life is, in the words of John Paul II, incomprehensible and meaningless unless he participates intimately in love. In her lecture Dr. Fedoryka will explore the significance of love for the life of the human person, showing it to be the origin, end, and meaning of human existence.
Dr. Fedoryka was recommended to Credo by philosopher and theologian Alice von Hildebrand, author of The Privilege of Being a Woman and A Divine Invention among many others. Credo and the Catholic Union of Missouri are very pleased to welcome her to St. Louis to deliver the 2012 Frederick Philip Kenkel Memorial Lecture for the Feast of St. Joseph.

On the Success of the US Economy

Before we can discuss whether the US Economy is successful, we must know what it should be successful at -- what is the ultimate end of an economy. Mr. Storck will discuss the ends and means of a Christian political economy.
Mr. Storck was received into the Church in 1978 and in 1983 began writing regularly on Catholic social teaching, Catholic culture, and other theological and philosophical topics. He is the author of three books, The Catholic Milieu (Christendom Press, 1987), Foundations of a Catholic Political Order (Four Faces Press, 1998) and Christendom and the West (Four Faces Press, 2000). His work has appeared in numerous publications in North America and Europe including Social Justice Review, Homiletic and Pastoral Review, and Chronicles. He served as a contributing editor for Caelum et Terra from 1991 until the magazine closed in 1996 and the New Oxford Review from 1996 to 2006. Since 1998 he has been a member of the editorial board of The Chesterton Review. We are very pleased to welcome Mr. Storck to St. Louis for the June Forum.
Old Thunder: An Evening With Hilaire Belloc

Hilaire Belloc (1870 - 1953) is portrayed by actor Kevin O'Brien, who provides a stirring evening which includes Belloc's prophetic take on "The Great Heresies" and on the waste-land of modern thought. Before the 1940's Belloc predicted the Welfare State, the increasing cruelty of our culture, and even the resurgence of Islam.
Kevin O'Brien is a convert to the faith from atheism. In 2007, he responded to a "wish" on the part of Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke, then Archbishop of St. Louis, that someone would produce a play written by Mother Mary Francis. Archbishop Burke gave Kevin $5,000 on the spot to launch a production company to spread the Gospel message through stage, film, television, audio recordings and the internet, and put him in touch with Fr. Joseph Fessio of Ignatius Press. Thus began The Theater of the Word Incorporated, named after the “Theater of the Word”, Karol Wojtyla’s clandestine drama troupe in Nazi-occupied Poland. The Theater of the Word Incorporated shows are most often seen in traveling productions, bringing drama to parishes all over the Eastern 2/3 of the continent. Additionally, Kevin hosts his own series The Theater of the Word on EWTN, and he and his actors appear regularly on the EWTN shows The Apostle of Common Sense and The Quest for Shakespeare. And the play Archbishop Burke wanted to see was staged in February, 2008. We are very pleased to welcome Mr. Belloc O'Brien to Credo's podium.

Post-Election Analysis
The framer of The Manhattan Declaration will analyze the prospects for marriage, life, and religious freedom in the light of the recent election results.
Robert George is McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton University, where he lectures on constitutional interpretation, civil liberties and philosophy of law. He has been called America's "most influential conservative Christian thinker" and Supreme Court Justice and former Harvard Law School Dean Elena Kagan praised Robert George as "one of the nation’s most respected legal theorists", saying that the respect he had gained was due to "his sheer brilliance, the analytic power of his arguments, the range of his knowledge", and "a deeply principled conviction, a profound and enduring integrity". He is also a finger style guitarist and bluegrass banjo player. Credo and the Catholic Union of Missouri are very pleased to welcome him to St. Louis to deliver the 2012 Frederick Philip Kenkel Memorial Lecture for the Feast of Christ the King.
